Nvidia Shadowplay Sound Problem

Fix 5 disable the nvidia hdmi sound adaptor in bios.

Nvidia shadowplay sound problem. Possible workaround for 7 1 users. But i only have this problem with my pc with an evga nu audio pro. Figured this out after nothing worked. Shadowplay only records the front 2 channels so a lot of sound goes missing.

Would be grateful if someone can help me. It turns out it was a simple solution to a complex problem that few people like myself who like to tweak their volume mix. One of the said causes of the problem turns out to be the default audio capture device for the nvidia software. I really have no idea what to do as i tried reinstalling messing with the settings etc etc.

After installing the nvidia graphics drivers if there s still no sound then the problem might be related to the bios and its settings. For doing so firstly enter the bios and go to advanced. After i record anything using shadowplay and i review the clip all i can hear is my own mic and somewhat ticking and maybe static sounds no in game audio. I have a creative x fi titanium sound card and play with 5 1 speakers using 3 jacks front center woofer and rear.

This makes the videos useless since they look dull and boring without the audio. There is no problem when recording desktop but once you put a load on the gpu that s when i experience this audio problem. I would like nvidia to acknowledge this issue and work on it for a future release it would be much appreciated. Faulty drivers it s possible that driver issues cause the problem when streaming video and sound over hdmi the problem can be caused by both new or old drivers and you.

Possible fix i ve updated the audio drivers twice in the last month i believe with the first update i had no issues since gfe was running the older version i think it could be caused by anything really but since i can record with good sound in stereo mode using obs studio via nvenc i blame geforce experience because the problem. In some cases maybe disabling nvidia hdmi sound adaptor in bios can resolve the issue. So i have this audio problem with shadowplay audio. My other pc has the sound blaster ae 9 with latest geforce experience v3 20 4 14 and no shadowplay audio problems at all.
