To use enable optix in preferences system cycles render devices. Requires nvidia r435 80 driver or newer. Release notes for changes to the optix api sdk will still be included in the sdk. Currently still missing are baking branched path tracing ambient occlusion and bevel shader nodes and combined cpu gpu rendering.
When enabled in the cycles device preferences gpus connected with an nvlink bridge will share memory to support rendering bigger scenes. Below are downloads for the latest optix sdk 4 0 beta release. There are two to choose from. The cuda runtime api and the cuda driver api.
A stable version of optix sdk 3 9 1 that supports pascal gpus is also available. From the nvidia web site download and install the following display driver or newer. Most but not all features of the cuda backend are supported yet. For optix debugging and profiling 435 95 or later is required.
