Nvidia Optimus Bug

Describe the bug i recently did a reinstall of my system and now i can t get switching to the nvidia gpu to work reliably anymore.

Nvidia optimus bug. There is no switch in bios to turn off integrated graphics nor do i want to turn it off. Nvidia geforce gtx 1050 ti 4gb laptop ram. In short it s like this. I didn t get the fact that optimus was an nvidia technology.

For one guys optimus is not the same as the hybird technology second i found on my dell e6420 that after the driver update i use nvidia drivers not dell or my last bios update a08 optimus some how got disabled in the bios causing me to lose my options to select which video card i wanted to run my programs on because its disables the intel card altogether. 16 gb ddr4 2400 os drive. It works just fine after rebooting but once i suspend the system while in intel mode the nvidia gpu won t turn on again when trying to switch to it. 378 49 intel hd driver.

What i tried for solve the problem. This bug affects every single app running in windowed bordeless fullscreen with vsync on this includes video and image editors game engines emulators etc every optimus laptop without hardware muxer is affected from 5xx to 10xx series. I checked the differences in the config files. My laptop uses nvidia optimus technology.

Nvidia to me this seems to mean rather use intel driver and output to nvidia which would be the other way around. Hdd 1 tb. For those who aren t aware there is a pretty big bug in nvidia optimus laptops running windows 10. The hardcore stuttering is back.
