Nvidia High Definition Audio No Sound After Sleep
The only way i can get the sound to start working is to either disable and re enable in device manager the amd high definition audio device under sound video and game controls or reboot the system.
Nvidia high definition audio no sound after sleep. I ve tried both official and beta drivers and both exhibit the same issues so any help in resolving this would be appreciated. The nvidia high definition audio no sound issue is occurring for hundreds of users a lot lately. After the latest 4 5 geforce driver updates i get a recurring problem with my sound driver going to sleep a few seconds after last sound through speakers connected through my screen using nvidia high definition audio through hdmi. The problem occurs after i wake up my pc.
Audio works perfectly fine up until the point when i leave my pc for a few minutes and it goes into sleep. It sounds weird but this fixes this issue for some people so it is good to give it a go. Using high definition audio driver. Upon wake my hdmi audio either stops working and splits into two 2 new and separate devices on the display my nvidia high definition audion is named e552vl 4 after wake it becomes e552vl 8 and does not work at all or it changes my audio device on all of my programs from e552vl 4 as i have it set to to whatever the default device it usually my speakers.
I then rebooted and installed the amd catalyst 15 7 1 win10 64bit suite. However after the computer is put into sleep mode and then resumed this is when problems begin. Realtek 2nd output no longer outputs to the headphones and realtek drivers no longer switch from realtek 2nd output to speakers when headphones are plugged in. I can get sound after that but only by using a different playback device such as an external sound card.
Audio only works through the speakers hp whether it is headphones or speakers. I also uninstalled the amd high definition audio device manually in device manager. In order to do so. It will work with other windows with no sound.
