Nvidia Freesync Black Flicker
I tried 3 different cables.
Nvidia freesync black flicker. Nvidia made a change in policy that pleased many pc gamers by starting to work on certifying amd freesync monitors to work with nvidia gpus. I scoured the internet looking for solutions without gaining much ground. I have tried 3 cables. Tweak till you like it.
All give me flickers. It turns back on for a few seconds and goes back to black as if it lost the signal and i am forced to disable it. Even if lfc weren t active the monitor will flicker cause it will just bounce between lowest supported freesync hertz and max supported hz causing the brightness difference between the 2 to appear as rave fest. I have a problem with this s3220dgf monitor.
I have ordered a high quality dp1 4 but the problem occurred immediately. This is what worked best for me and a safe option restart driver with cru. No flickers in game at 60 hz flickers at 85hz 120hz and 144hz. 1 supplied dp cable 1 supplied hdmi cable 1 hdmi cable from my switch.
It s not clear whether nvidia is talking about classical proper g sync displays or if this driver also clears up issues with g sync compatible read. In cru click the edit button with your freesync monitor selected. Test with the freesync app nvidia s pendulum. According to the demo certain monitors that are uncertified or non validated as nvidia displays it can produce unexpected results when users turn on g sync.
If freesync is off i have no problems but i would like to keep it on since its one of the main reasons i bought this monitor. After getting the graphics card installed and installing the newest nvidia drivers for my windows 10 version 1903 my screen started displaying odd horizontal lines flickering screen popping and intermittent black screen. If i enable nvidia g sync gtx 1080 ti the screen frequently turns black. The company showcased this with a demo at ces 2019.
