Nvidia Display Settings Are Not Available Windows Server 2016

Nvidia display settings are not available windows server 2016. I have enabled rdp 8 on a w7 box and its dpi is not pulled from the client. Windows server 2016 48gb ram 1 sdd 8 hdd nvidia gtx 1060 3gb i7 6800k with hyper threading so 12 cores no matter what i do i can t get anything to decode with hardware. I have a virtual server based on windows server 2016 standard that serves as a remote desktop services server. From within the remote session right click the desktop and go to display settings.

However these settings are not available even for accounts with administrator s privileges. So i have an rds server. Windows server 2016 1607 1709. Hi i realize this has been asked in other places but i m struggling to find an answer that works for me.

Apparently w2016 server is supposed to pull the dpi scaling from the client. Not even when opening the vm from the hyper v console can i change these settings. Windows 2016 has not yet. The nvidia gridd service uses dbus for communication with nvidia x server settings to display licensing information through the manage license page.

Now on the right hand side scroll down until you find the option of display adapter properties. This is specifically for windows server 2016 but is probably the same for windows 10. For example the updated maximum resolution supported is not available. I am not sure if this will help for you but i figured i d document it here.
